if it wasn't for being in law enforcement I would only get to shoot what I own. I know where you are coming from, I love layaway! You will have to give a range report when you get it.

Looks good. Better to put it on layaway than to charge it and pay for it 2 or 3 (or 5 or 6) times.

Congrats, it looks smaller than a commander, more like an officer.

Congrats. I love mine. Looks like yours has already been pimped. I had to send mine to Scott at Springer Precision to get the Beavertail, hammer and trigger...

Itchy_Trigger is right. That is an Officer's length model. Commander is 4.25" bbl. Nice looking no matter what it is!! I always liked the parkerized look for 1911s.

You wont be disappointed in your new purchase.. I have the government size, and it honestly seems to be better built than my colt.. (But I so love my colt anyway....) I plan on ordering that exact gun, only the tactical model soon..

I put down $25 (so that guy next me who was interested will look elsewhere). i figure i'll pay it off sometimes... Well, I had no patients, and went to pick it up the next day My GF was all sorts of pissed, as i told her i'll pay it off in like 3 months time.
