I've had a few Ringo Shiina albums for a while now, but it took me a long time to "get" them; now I love listening to them a bunch. I've only got three of her albums, however: Shouso Strip, Utaite Myouri and Heisei Fuuzoku. Any recommendations where I should go from here? (Once I have some cash, that is?)

love the entire new album. great, great! I love the jazzier songs.

I *finally* got to listen to Variety (shut up...I've been busy!). It's an excellent album with a much more (dare I say) varied and eclectic sound..not too lounge-esque ala ADULT and not too hard ala Kiyoku . It has just the right blend of sounds and playful nature to make it my second favorite album (I still like ADULT just a smidge more).

SG is not a bad album.. but it's certainly not her best. What I do like about it is that this album really gives you a grand tour of American music from Jackson 5, to Gospel, to Disco/Funk, to 60's hippie rock, to electronica and rap even. It mainly gives off a very retro vibe. I wasn't alive in the 60's or the 70's, but the songs really make you feel transported back to that time. But when it comes down to it...
