?: "This is news to me!"

Usually we use the 'female version' of your sentence, namely Questa mi giunge nuova! Yours is correct too but I think the other one is more used. You can also say Questa mi ? nuova, or Questa non la sapevo! I think there are lots of other ways to convey the same meaning. Let's wait for other suggestions Simona

But "Questa non la sapevo" may express simply surprise together with acceptance. Is the incredulity clear? Sometimes we say "This is news to me" to mean "Non dire baggianate!"

"Questa mi giunge nuova" has an ironic sense that "Questa non la sapevo" somehow lacks. Intonation plays a huge role, obviously, but if I wanted to add a bit of irony to my sentence, I would go with: "Questa non la sapevo proprio!" Other mildly ironic sentences might be: Senti, senti. Ma pensa un po'. Chi l'avrebbe mai detto. Ma d? giuro! (regional)

Dimmi: "Lo giuro!" ergo "Giura!", "Giuralo".

Esempio: "There are no homeless people in this town". "This will be news to those who sleep under the bridges". Forse in questo caso: "Vai a dirlo a...
