There is really no other way to begin this review than to remind everyone how much I have been anticipating this issue. Everything else I write is based on that simple premise. First of all if you haven't read issue #50 then I will go ahead and say the painful truth, lower your expectations. It really isn't worthy of the hype that it has been given and it is a bit of a letdown for a 50th issue....

I loved it, but i can empathize with Carl. He's going to be a very interesting character over the next bunch of issues.

Solid issue, but I agree that it was missing the impact that a 50th issue should have. It was also a lean issue, let alone a lean #50. It was great to see Carl have to do things on his own, though, and, damn, I loved that moment where he just vents. It actually expressed a lot of frustrations I've had with Rick and his decisions over the last couple of issues. I think they should have ...

Decent enough issue, but yeah ... the relatively unenthusiastic reactions above pretty much mirror my own. And even though I think very highly of the comic per se, I think very little of it as value for money & am probably dropping it as of this ish. I read the entirety of #50 at a couple of red lights yesterday evening, which works out to the usual less-than-5-minutes I spend on every ...

This was a good issue. The pacing was just right. Over the last 4-5 issues, everybody was dying, you didn't know who was next (was it your favorite character?), nothing was certain and everything was a shock. Now, its slowed down a bit to develop the character of Carl. Like I said, good pacing. And I don't read this issue as "Issue 50 has to be something special" like other comics do. I ...
