I agree with your review. I haven't added it to my collection as there are better films to see if I'm in the mood for zombies, but I won't turn it off if it's on TV.

I can respect your review, especially those who were fans of the original, but the 1990 version of NOTLD is one of my all time favorite horrors. I saw it when it hit vhs (rented it with Stone Cold actually) and fell in love. It creeped me out and actually gave me nightmares of a zombie attack for a few years later, the only movie to do that mind you. I love the characters, the dialogue...

I love both films equally. Romero did a great job creating claustrophobia. Savini's remake was kind of like extreme makeover zombie edition. Basically the same, only better looking effects. NOTLD90 isn't just an unexceptional movie--it's actively awful. Exceptionally poor in just about every particular, and an embarrassment to pretty much everyone involved.
