Road trip parts list? I took a trip to Ca. one time in my 32ish truck with a 39 flathead with 5 gallons of water,8 spark plugs, and 2 quarts of oil. I used the water and one qoart of oil. Now I'm wondering what I should take the next time? What spare parts do you pack around?

Re: Road trip parts list? I have extra belts in both sizes, hoses, clamps, fuel filter, and a huge ziplock bag full of nuts and bolts. I carry a full tool box, floor jack, jumper cables, and spare tire.

I have a good complete took box (3 drawer Craftsman ralley box), and besides the basic tools (and some not-so-basic, like a multi-meter, chisel, etc), I keep an assortment of electrical connectors and about 10 feet of wire coiled tight, electrical tape and fuses. I hauled a one-wheeled trailer with every imaginable spare part I could think of and when I was at the furthest distance from home of the whole trip, I blew the babbiting out of a main bearing & a rod bearing. ...
