I wouldn't know anything about this because my dogs have been spayed and neutered, but my friend is wanting to know when does a females first heat usually occur because he seen slimy stuff come from his female when she urinated and she is only 6 months? He said she is also urinating alot more, but her vagina is not swollen or darker in color yet.

It could be, but it could also be vaginitis or another vaginal infection. What color is the "slime"? If it's green or greenish/yellow, the pup's got some sort of infection happening.

It Might Sound Gross, But Wipe Some On A Cloth And Smell It. It Shouldnt Smell At All, And Should Be Clear/clouded/whitish/ Maybe A Little Yellow But Green Is No Good.

If it's clear or opaque, it could just be a normal vaginal discharge. Females occasionally do have a discharge which is completely normal, however, since dogs are adept at cleaning themselves, we usually never notice it.

I wasn't aiming towards infection but if it's recommended I'll see if he'll take her to the vet.
