Hey there, New here, obviously , but love what I have read so far. I have a question that has been tough to search for, and figured this might be the place to ask. First decision over - I'm picking up a HV20 this weekend. Now, my hopefully basic question that I state correctly. I currently own NO other high definition video equipment. HD is not supported in the DVD specs, so you cannot author a HD video disc for an SD DVD player. What you can do is create you project in HD and scale it down to DVD-compliant resolution when it is finished. I´m no MAC user so I don´t know if iDVD accepts HD files and does the resolution conversion on its own.
