OK ... I admit it ... I gave it a whirl during the week. My nephew is scarily good at it, so I've just loaned him a proper guitar and practice amp and am hoping that that will stop him being so smug! Anyone out there tried it? How do you get on? Me, my timing sucks - I'm often slightly ahead of the beat so keep missing things. Maybe it might be good for me to tighten up a bit then.....

Its a bloody abomination, i cant stand the thing. Its like those stupid dance mat things in the shape of a guitar. Bahh humbug!! I'm with John Mayer on this one, It makes kids think they can play guitar without putting any effort in, i mean which would you rather drive a real ferrari or one of the plastic ones at the fair! Saying that though, if it gets kids into playing guitar then...

Tried it, hated it, tried it again, hated it more, tried it again... Hooked! I've seen the same pattern over and over again with our family and friends. We're all hooked and have entire GH nights. We started on PS3 but have moved onto Wii because we can take it from house to house to feed our addiction! And now there's the Aerosmith version. Unfortunately it does give a few ...

I've had it for about six months on the Wii and I just cannot do it. There's a delay in the system somewhere, so you need to play very slightly ahead of the beat, and my tendency is to play slightly behind the beat, Neil Young style, and I just cannot compensate. -------------------- Nik Godin, Axon, Tonelab, Electrix Repeater, QY700 & the skin of my teeth!

Quote Wonkey Wabbit: Quote Dan Bo: “I mean, what would you rather drive, a Ferrari or one of those amusement-park cars on a track?” Actually, I prefer driving amusement-park cars on a track to a Ferrari. I prefer driving a Ferrari as if I'm in on an amusement park track... -------------------- An Eagle for an Emperor, A Kestrel for a Knave....

My boys love it. As a musician, I feel its a bit of a joke but....I'm so happy that some old classics which are included on these games are now considered cool. My seminars on rock history which often take place on car journeys are now fully booked! -------------------- 'Writing about music is like dancing about architecture'

Here's an analogy a teenager might understand... Would you rather jerk off or get laid? Well? WELL? Guitar hero is jerking off. Except there isn't even a payoff so it's like... Resident...
