Yes, GC recently put into place a rule that prevents them from bending their prices. Even if you've spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in their store in the past and are a very good customer... they aren't going to help you out. I've always opperated under the mindset that the profit margin for instruments at GC is incredibly high. Only chumps pay full price for a guitar. So from now on I'm only going guitar...

GC hasn't been making money in ages, and doing this seems like just the way to perpetuate it. i wonder what they were thinking when they made this decision? srsly they didn't think it would increase sales... just makes them appear as more of a big walmart-like cooperation thus more h8

Unfortunately I'm just not a fan of guitar stores because employees seem highly condescending. That may because every jobless kid in the music scene would like to work in one and therefore when they get the job they actually believe they are on top of the world. Online ftw.
