Is Darryl Monroe's injury fully healed? I was talking with a student today that saw him getting chauffeured in a golf cart from a class back to the dorms.

They do that for all of our basketball players.

he was well during the season last year. been practicing for months.

I'm expecting Daryll Monroe to be an explosive BEAST in the low post this year. He's the closest thing we've had since Jai Lewis manned the paint for us...Anything less than 12 ppg & 8 rpg from Monroe should be considered a dissapointment.

I think that is expecting too much actually - I just don't see him making that kind of a stride after sitting out last season.

If Monroe doesn't get to 12 and 8 (or something very close to it), I would not expect Mason to have a particularly successful season. This guy needs to produce or we will be in for a tough season. There is not much experience among our big guys so we need him to be the go-to guy in the paint.

You realize 12 & 8 is doubling his averages of 6.1 & 3.9 from the last time he played right? In comparison, Jesse Young a 6'10" All-CAA player averaged 11.6 pts and 8.5 rebounds his Senior year, after 4 consecutive years in Coach L's system and w/out coming off injury.

In comparison did you know that your aforementioned Jese Young did not make All CAA his senior year? yea that's right.

Monroe averaged 6 and 4 when Will Thomas was the go-to guy in the middle. With Thomas gone, Monroe becomes the first option down low so he needs to put up numbers worthy of the first option in the low post.

I believe he was second team. Regardless, the point is still the same.
