Haha...I've never liked the smell of factories. Even chocolate factories probably leave behind somewhat of a nasty odor. Beach cities always smell amazing...I love the salty (but fresh) scent of the ocean. I also love the smells of small town Georgia. Freshly baked pies on the windowsill..sweet tea...yum!

Towns in the North Georgia mountains. Such an intense pine smell. Parts of Portland when the roses are blooming. Parts of Florida with a lot of citrus trees. I love the smell of lime on a muggy day.

I loved the smell of the steel mills on the East Side of Chicago. They smelled like money.

For a short time, when I was young, I lived in the small village of Navarre, Ohio. The Nickles Bakery is headquartered there. The village is small enough that the whole place smells like fresh bread or pastries on certain days of the week. Relatives tell me that you don't notice it after awhile, though.

People say Hershey, PA smells like chocolate and sometimes it does. Hershey often smells really bad because of an old wastewater treatment plant. The good news is that it mysteriously only smells at night after the park is closed and only when there are no events.

I stayed next to a patisserie in Paris that smelled delicious! It blocked out the diesel fumes...
