Uh. So this is really an advertisement for a Christie's auction? Hate to say it, but that's pretty lame. -------------------- Out of 4 stars: Aftermath Anthology: ***1/2 Constellations Anthology: ***1/2 Maker : *** Provenance of Shadows : ***

The Christie's auction was months ago. And it generated a lot of fan interest...especially because an immense amount of props, models, and costumes were cut loose to the public at the time. It was a pretty big deal at the time...and seeing the Okudas identifying such immediately recognizable items in itself is kinda cool, IMO.

I'm really enjoying this special show on Star Trek, but it's a little sad that Paramount sold all this stuff. Does that mean the end of Star Trek as we know it?? I still would like to see future generations to be able to enjoy TREK too. -------------------- Keith1701 Live, Long, and Prosper.... "Make It So" -- ENGAGE!!!!

Imagine owning the bridge of the Enterprise and turning it into a dining room like in the show? Or imagine if all the fan film comunity could get their hands on some of those models. There's one good thing about seeing all that history at the auction. The next time we see a New Star Trek, it will be completely new. All new costume and ship designs. That's something to look foward to. ...

OMG...57 mins into the show and the makeup guy for TNG just LIED like a LYING LIAR! He said that, in the original show, the Klingons were just brown, so (according to him) HE created the "new" Klingon look with Worf. Forget the Klingons in TMP and Kruge and Maltz and all in TSFS, let alone the bunch in TFF AND Gorkin and all in TUC. No...MICHAEL WESTMORE invented Klingons with Worf. ...

Eh, turned it off after just over an hour. The same old platitudes, stories, and rationalizations themed this time around the wistful inventorying, shipping, displaying, and ultimately selling off of props, costumes, and models at Christie's. As much as I have enjoyed and still enjoy "Star Trek" in its many forms, when it comes to these schmaltzy, sentimental homages, I guess I'll stand ...

Stewart is really getting on my nerves. He's laughing at people. These are people who are buying a piece of their dreams and he's just making fun of them. I used to really like him. -------------------- "We screwed up."-- Gov. Deval Patrick.
