We're going camping next weekend and was going to take some bug spray with us. Is it safe to use while pregnant?

Actually I don't think DEET is safe to use while pregnant. DEET is the main repellant in good bug spray. There are natural alternatives. Just be prepared to use more, more often and for it not to be as effective. They will still help though. Avon's Skin So Soft works really well. Off has a "Botanical" formula that works pretty well. Thanks for the info. I forgot about the Skin So Soft, I'll have to see if I have any. What about sunblock ladies? Anything that's better? I heard your skin is easily burned when pregnant. Which is wonderful because I'm pale and tend to burn, turn bright red and then it's back to pale.

I never considered sunblock. I use baby sunblock on the whole family because we are all as white as snow. I never heard of it being a problem, but I am not sure. I would think the baby sunblock would be safe if its okay to use on little babies.

Sarah is right, DEET is not safe during pregnancy. I don't know about the all natural stuff though, I have to find out about that myself. I saw one at Target that was made with Eukalyptus oil and something else, I was wondering if that's safe.

Yes bug spray is safe as long as there is no DEET in it. So like the other girls said stay away from the DEET and you will be fine.
