This is exactly why any group rides I do are with my core group of riding friends. Never like to see anyone go down, especially when they are trying to keep up with more experienced riders.

Good post. I can honestly say after 2 years of riding, I am still somewhat of a noob, not many curves around my town to practice on, I am getting better and learning more and more everyday. I like to ride with people around the same ability as me, don't be shy to ask total strangers if they ever want to hook up for a ride, they wont call the cops on you for stalking!

i gave up on group rides mid last season after witnessing yet another wreck by someone riding beyond thier ability. We told this rider that it's best that they stick with the slower group but noooo....they would not hear of it. sure enough, we're hitting a nice road up north at a spirted pace, The rider was right behind me, went into a corner, i made it without issue, the other rider did not, ...
