My wife used to never notice motorcyclists. This was her number one reason for not wanting me to get a bike. Since I got my bike, she has started seeing motorcyclists on the highway. She even noticed two passing her as she was on the cell phone with me (and driving ). Just thought I'd let y'all know that I'm doin' my part to make South Texas a little safer for motorcyclists....

Maybe we should come up with something like: "Take a Non-Rider for a Ride Day"

I would definetly support that! I think motorists would be a lot more careful if they knew what it´s like to ride a motorcycle.

Well, Maybe we could start here: How about Labor Day? Take a non-biker for a ride? Labor day to ask all laborers to remember bikers? If half the folks on this forum invited a guest for a ride on Labor day that would be that 15,000 more folks who have become motorcycle aware. WM

I feel the same way, i was never aware of how scary it was to have someone tailgate you on a bike until I started riding, then I find myself wanting to get off my bike a pull someone out of their car and talk to them about proper distance.....and a few other choice words
