You can turn the next...prev on the listing page on/off in site config. Check your settings and the docs.

I need Next - Prev on the general listing. I just would like to delete this from the detailed information page.

Also, using the proper terms can make it easier for people to help you. The page you are referring to is the search results page, not the general listing page. What you are calling the detailed info page is the listing view page.

The only changes you can make to that are changing the images and css settings. I am pretty sure the css file is commented to show which settings are for the listing next_prev bar. If not you can look at the source code from the page to see what settings are used. Any other changes would require core file changes as we have not templated that next_prev bar yet.
