Amnesty International surveyed all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia and the Federal Bureau of Prisons to obtain information on the use of restraints on pregnant women in custody. These findings are based primarily on information provided in the surveys.

Thanks for posting. I have mixed feelings about the use of restraints on prgenant women. Naturally I do not want to see any women, pregnant or not hurt or injured due to the use of restraints but I don't think we can minimize that some women, pregnant or not, may need to be restrained if they are posing a threat. Just my !
