Salaam Alaykum, I didn't know where to post this.. I have a few questions.. so far I've read only portions of the book of sulaym ibn qays .. now the thing I'm interested in is, why is he seen as a complete fabrication by sunni's? And is he related to Thabit or Alqamah ? Who was his mother/father etc.? I want to prove it to one of my close ones. Peace.

It's not certain that the book was his, even by Shi`i scholars. Ibn al-Ghadha'iri mentions that some of our companions (meaning other Imami scholars) said Sulaym b. Qays was not known and not mentioned in narrations (seems to imply they meant he didn't exist), however he responds by saying he has seen mention of him in other than that book and by other than Aban b.
