Yeah! It gave me a new respect for the car. A car that can run 15's with some of the high rollers & still give you 37 mpg. What else can you ask for?

yeah thats the bad part of the electric gaue. the ghas level looks hih until you et to the half mark. then it goes real fast

I can attest that 36MPG+ is quite achievable in 2.3L Aerio, I've been there before. The slower you drive, the more you get. If the you can catch a tail wind, it helps a lot too.

Furthermore, I have consulted the Aeriostyle.com rules, and no where is there a provision covering acceptable and unacceptable fuel economy computations. If you really want to get accurate MPG numbers, do a injector flow test by pulse in a lab and wire a notebook into the ECU to count each cylinders pulse. Then you would know. i hit 37.5 as my average on a 545 mile trip down to the Outer Banks in my SX4. that was with the windows down most of the time, in FWD, and without the a/c on. i did just about the same on the trip back to PA, but in the rain in maryland, and with the a/c on and windows up.

I had a few I-35 trips between San Antonio and Austin....was able to squeeze over 37 mpg staying 55-60....this is an automatic with no a/c running......My typical commute is a mix of city/highway and I always break 30 mpg if I stay below 2500 rpm or 60-65 mph.
