This will be my 1st competition and I literally dont know where to start when it comes to getting involved and actually competing. Can someone please give me some show dates and show me how to get signed up?

Well it would help if you said what federation, being a genius i have decided to guess you are a natural compitor thus you should ask fivos on this site.

Google search NPA or BNBF. Go to their sites, both have forums / contact telephone numbers etc and very helpful event organisers / representatives. Give'm a yell and get started! G
