SO i flew up to WV to buy a '74 2K2. I took interstate 77 to get to i95>>> into florida. Well i didnt know that -77 has tolls, interstates in FL dont have tolls?? so i didnt bring cash.... and its 1 am so nothings open in hickville. i pay one toll with $2 cash i have, then go through the next two tolls without paying. well i get pulled over about 2 miles from...

Man, that sucks. Go contest it, explain your situation to the judge, maybe he/she'll be lenient. You'll probably still have to pay some money, but maybe you can get them to drop the points. But, I hate to say it, what could you expect? You know they have cameras on those tolls.

The turnpike is a fun road though!! sucks about 1k.... contest it,write a detailed letter to the judge that will be over seeing your case giving your reasons.

yeah i knew the cameras, i expected a letter in the mail..... thinkin like in FL or MA, thats how they roll. i would fly up and contest, but $250 to fly, plus$150 for missed day of work..... no guarantee, may cancel court date... have to fly up again. if i find that the tolls give me points then i will probably head up there. yeah i learned about the bill ...

the lady at the courthouse said there is no contesting unless im in person, anyone have any details about this??

In this similar thread a few months ago, the general consensus was that you should just ignore it, especially if you don't plan to be back very often, because they will not obtain a warrant and will not send the fine to collections.
