A friend asked me to research some vintage art posters she got from an estate. She has no idea of the value, and every appraisal service she contacted wanted an up front fee. They were from the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain, CIRCA 1965. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Kay

Most appraisers will want an upfront fee. Otherwise, if the person finds out the item is worth less than the appraisal, they don't like to pay the fee. She could try and research the posters online. Or try a member of the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association http://www.ivpda.com
