Hey all, I've been away from the boards for most of the off-season so far, but I've been keeping an eye on things. I just stopped in today to see if there was any interest in the goat site for the upcoming season. I re-designed the site a little (still more work to do obviously), but now I'm not sure if I'll even be able to keep up with it this season. As you may know I've had some help from...

Uh-uh. It's like picking one person out & kicking him when he's already down. Sometimes a loss isn't the fault of one person but the team as a whole. And sometimes it's no one's 'fault'. Hero of the Game is cool.

I don't like putting the blame on one player. Besides, they can't win every game, right? And sometimes one of the guys just doesn't play a good game but why embarrass him too yet?

I'm not being mean, just honest, no one has said anything on the board about your site this offseason

That's the beauty of GotG. You get to find someone to blame for every loss. Sure they can't win every game, but when a guy goes 0-5 with 4 k's or one gives up 5 runs in an inning, they sure didn't do anything but help the other team. We all like to blame others, like politicians or companies or hippies for bad things and this is no different. Worrying about how the player feels is exactly ...

Well if you enjoy it, it's your privilege to vote for a GOG. I was just giving my opinion but I respect other people's opinions and they can do as they please. :)

as far as I could tell, all that JBFrogger stuff helped add traffic to the website. As far as being able to pick on a player, but not a poster, I think most people see the difference there. -Not a very good comparison really. There is a rule somewhere here I'm sure about personal attacks. -And judging a player's performance in a game isn't considered a personal attack. Heaven forbid anyone says "He had a bad...

I'm interested in keeping GOG. I think it was a good luck charm for us last season. Keep it up frogger. And yeah, we've gotta keep the Joe Beer Frogger too.

The problem isn't really ripping on a player, but the website just seems overall too negative. Venting about a loss is fine, but a website dedicated to the losses of the team just seems like it should be saved for when we return to rebuilding mode. I'd be willing to help if player of the game was a bigger focus.
