I'm buying a Squier Jagmaster soon, and as you may know, Jagmasters have the Strat trem. I've never owned a guitar with a strat trem, or any trem for that matter. I was wondering if there's a way to lock the trem so it'll divebomb but not do anything else, and if so, how. Thanks!

um.... sorry strat trems ONLY divebomb anyways EDIT: not trying to sound like a dick its just a fact if i was a dick i wouldve laughed my ass off too

sync trems can only divebomb anyway, unless its recessed thats all any trem can do

I don't think you can lock a Strat trem. Even if you put a locking nut on, the strings still wouldn't be locked into the bridge. You could either get a locking trem and install that, or get a different guitar that has a locking trem, or just fiddle with the Strat trem to make it stay in tune better. You can do things like adjust the bridge screws, replace the saddles, remove string trees,...
