http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDwslvEhVqs I suppose this is probably as good as anything else, so check it out. Only the first part of the movie is wavedashing. That is it in its most simplistic form.

Yer... Well you have to do a short hop (small jump) diagnal down roll in the direction you want to dash. Its a really difficult technique. If your trying to learn it use Luigi (he has the least traction out of everyone). Took me around a good part of a year to learn to do it on command and even now im not good at it and never use it. If you cant short hop learn that, its so much more useful.

I'm an avid Smash player so I do happen to know something about this topic. I'm alright at WDs but I have trouble doing them consecutively so Fox's Shined Blind is out of the question.
