Lovecraft at work, but I just got my hands on three more graphic novels I'm dying to read: Fantasy Classics: Graphic Classics Vol. 15 I actually got from the kids section at the library, but it wound up having some horror stuff in it. It has Frankenstien by Mary Shelley (drawn too cartoony), Rappaccini's Daughter by Nathaniel Hawthorne and ...

Brand new month, brand new bunch of books... Well, kinda. I took a break from Cryptonomicon and have been enjoying the pure un-PCishness of The New Destroyer: Dead Reckoning . I've burst out laughing several times, so the writers are on their game yet again. Also going through the latest issue of Cemetery Dance , which is a Charles. L. Grant tribute issue. I admit I've never read any of...

Read A Gent From Bear Creek by Robert E. Howard – Not horror at all but a great fun read by a master storyteller who shows a wonderfull sense of humour in this edited collection of yarns. Reading Captives by Shaun Hutson - Jolly implausable nonsense which he does rather well.

Should finish Dexter in the Dark soon. Not really liking the new direction, but will wait until I finish the book before deciding is it's any good or not.

I'm readin' a short story comp at the moment called Robert Bloch's Psychos . No stories by Bloch, but I guess it was edited or somethin' by 'em? I dunno. But it's actually pretty good. Some stories are supernatural, others are just about serial killers and the like.

Slowly reading- 'split image' Anthony perkins. Not because it's a bad book, but i keep procrastinating and keep putting it down to work on stuff.

Just finished In the Dark by Richard Laymon. Now I'm reading One Rainy Night by Richard Laymon and the Aztecs by Nigel Davies. I'm reading Laymon on the train going to and from work and Davies every once in a while at home. It feels like a graduate school type history book so it'll probably take me about a year to finish it. I do find it extremely interesting, especially since I just ...
