unable to vomit after surery? - GERD: Support Group at WebMD | Thread profile

I am 25 years old, i had the surery 12 years ago in highschool. I have not been able to vomit in the past 12 years, i was just wondering if others have the same problem with this surgery? It sounds nice until you have a migraine or morning sickness and are heaving 24/7. Does anyone know of any corrective surgeries for this? Thanks for any advice. -Jeni

Replying to: unable to vomit after surery? There is unfortunately no way around the 'no vomiting' issue unless the wrap starts to slip or you have it 'taken down' a bit. But you would also probably start to have symptoms similar to the ones you had before the surgery was done.
