Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but if there are aliens in the 4th movie, and a god entity in the first and third movies, doesn't that leave a little explaining to do on the part of god? Just happen to forget to mention the aliens did he? Bit of an oversight there.

UPDATED Tue Jun 3 2008 13:29:30 Why does everyone think that there's only EITHER God OR Aliens, but not both at the same time?

Well if you assume both to be real, then you could easily say that Aliens believe in the God of Moses, but just have different experiences with this god.

Not saying that... I am a atheist to the core. The idea of a supernatural 'god' is ridiculous to me. What I am saying is that in Indiana Jones movie-land, both are now real as witnessed by Indiana Jones. So how does one explain the others existence? The presence of the aliens means the bible is both inaccurate and false, and the presence of god means that,.. well I'm not sure what it...

How about: both are real, but the bible was writtten by a bunch of drug-taking freeloaders, and not God.... thus has NOTHING to say aout the real God :) In that case we just have no idea about who or what God might be, same about the aliens.. thats why we can have both an ufo and the Holy Grail in an Indiana Jones movie. I remember Lucas saying something in that sort in an ...

Oh come on.... what do I have all day here? Go read a bible and see if you can spot the part where the presence of aliens might cause a problem.

I keep referencing CS Lewis whenever this arguement comes up. He writes a book where the main character starts out on planet earth but goes to other planets. There are both aliens and God in his Space Trilogy. The Bible (if you believe it or not) is the story of what God has done on earth, from creation to eventual end. It doesn't say anything about other planets, to affirm or deny ...

The presence of the aliens means the bible is both inaccurate and false, and the presence of god means that,.. well I'm not sure what it means but it would seem to mean that everything we know about physics and science is false. No it doesn't. Science seeks to explain the wonders of the universe. Its trying to understand the world around us. If you believe in God then science just...

UPDATED Tue Jun 3 2008 14:28:30 I'm not trying to be mean here, but come on; Isn't it your job to convince me? I'm not here to prove your case for you. I've already stated my counter argument, all you have done is said "but you can't have both" without really explaining why. BTW, in case you missed it (and I have no reason to believe you didn't): http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi...
