Im a bit worried about my deadlift form, I train alone in my garage at home so have nobody to check my form, so i did a little video of a warm up set and id appreciate your views on my form, i was gonna do a work set too as i feel thats when my form breaks down a bit more, but it started to spit with rain, typical !! What concerns me is im leaning forward too much and am not pushing ...

textbook imo... i prob use a little too much back to fair... i'd just work a little on the speed though - i'd lift it a lot quicker - as soon as you get to lifting a stupid amount of the floor its good to think 'quick' in your head - in reality it'll come up slowly but it needs to be explosive

Spot on..... nothing wrong with your form there mate, neutral spine position all the way was v.good. Had to laugh when the dog walked past though!

looks ok to me... however u look abit stiff mate i think if u did some stretching (total body) it would defo help u

Yep your absolutely right DB, my ham strings are tight. I have been working on it tho and getting better everyday, still must be pretty bad if you could spot it from the video tho !! lol

Personally I think theres too much legs in there but the form is textbook mate. I lift straight from the floor using mostly back and then stand up into it but then I am a bodybuilder and so try to focus the whole lift onto the target muscle group, mostly my legs stay in a stable position on the first part of the lift. I think that lift is a good powerlifting deadlift, Big Pete will correct ...

Nice vid BullD. That's one of the better form videos I've seen! The doggy was a nice addition too! Sorry if this is going a lil OT, but I just quickly wanted to ask about breathing during deadlifts. I inhale deep before lifting off the ground at the start of the set, then exhale on the way up, inhale again on the way down, rest on floor, exhale on way up and so on. But during a working...
