hey jen i found the small bottle, although it didnt say vanilla essence, it just said vanilla flavouring. i hope i've bought the right thing? i couldnt see anything saying essence on it!

yeah, the flavouring is the cheap version. there is no real vanilla bean in it, just flavourings, but it tastes really similar to vanilla essence, and it'll work fine. some supermarkets don't carry the real stuff cos its pricier. don't go too heavy handed with it, cos a little drop goes a long way.

thanks ive just put the muffins in the oven , wasted 2 eggs as the yolk fell into the pan with the white, you have to be really carefull. the white is like gooey and sorta like snot :S anyway what can i do with the yolks i have, i dont like to waste things? can i save them for later? same question for the white/yolk mix i've got from the mistakes! i dont fancy eating scrambled egg or eggy ...

golfgti16vgrey...you crack me up...but in a good way! You can also buy powdered egg white next time if you don't want to mess with the real egg...it's a lot easier although I'm sure it's more expensive than buying eggs...not sure though. The powdered works great in baking recipes.
