hello, all – just helping out with this thread to give Trevor some much needed breathing room as he does battle with his revolting household appliances. (i meant revolting as in rebelling, not disgusting... i’m sure Trevor has lovely taste in kitchen accessories.) i’ll do my best to keep up! here’s the spiel: You know the drill by now, but for those who don't it's a chance ...

UPDATED Sun Jun 15 2008 16:47:39 Falstaff (Chimes at Midnight) (1965) ... 9 one of those “lost” classics that is in dire need of restoration and proper release (the process of which was supposedly begun in 2004, though no recent word on how that’s progressing...). tired of waiting, i finally broke down and watched an older VHS copy. and while i look forward to seeing a ...

Get Smart 4/10 Funny in too few places and relies heavily on gags which didn't work the first time on the TV show. - Press Screening The Happening 4/10 M. Night goes for Blood this time in B-Movie fashion and it "Ain't Happening" Few good scares but not enough good story. Waste of talent with Mark W. - Press Screening The Hulk 7/10 Good story, Great CGI but takes up too much of ...

it's only recent car troubles that kept me from seeing The Hulk this weekend. i was a childhood fan. glad to hear it's worth it! too bad about Get Smart . i was holding out hope for that one. though i'm sure i'll still see it at some point. not sure about the others... The problem with the world is that it's always one drink behind. -Bogart

Here are my movies from this week. Not bad at all: All About Eve (1950) - Fantastic all around. Second viewing, 10/10 Roundhay Garden Scene (1888) - Does this count? Either way, the performances were lacking, and I thought that about half-way through it started to lose it's effect. So it's the first movie ever made...what else ya got? That's what I was thinking at least. But ...

I've seen alot this week and all of th tens are because I've rewatched many this week, I'll put a little star next to the rewatches. It's unfortunate that I don't have the time for reviews, I'd love to write an entire book on every film I've given a ten but I just don't have that time. 1. Sweet Smell of Success 10/10* 2. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance 10/10 3. Sword of Doom 10/10*...

UPDATED Sun Jun 15 2008 07:35:41 Be Kind Rewind (2008) - 6/10 , wasn't funny throughout most of it, but I did enjoy the sweded movies once they finally started them, about half way through it. Dog Day Afternoon (1975) - 9/10 , very good. I actually had parts of it spoiled for me a long time ago, but fortunately I didn't remember that until afterwards. So I didn't see ...

UPDATED Sun Jun 15 2008 18:28:05 Hmm... Charlie Wilson's War - 8/10 - Second viewing. Watched it with friends at a party so it was arguably more fun than the first time. Proof - 8/10 - Very good if not particularly cinematic adaptation of David Auburn's play, of which I wasn't a big fan until I saw the film. Gwyneth Paltrow gives arguably her best performance here. ...
