Well, I made it through another class! I think I made some advancement compared to last week, go here to see last weeks post. This week was much more relaxed, I knew what I was in for. We are currently to focus on line, not worry about details. My instructor now has me starting on creating shape. Focusing on planes of light and shadow. We are going to revisit this same pose next class...

Lori, these foreshortened poses are quite tricky... you have done well to fit it onto the paper... another hour to go, so if you can get her into the same position it should look really good! Mac

Thats a difficult angle to capture so you have done well. The face might need some adjustment looks a little small. Your instructor should be working on proportions more those legs need revisiting. Like I said you got some tough angles there even for an experienced drawer so keep learning keep doing the difficult ones.

Thanks gentlemen ! Yes you both are correct about the difficult angle. I was seated in a position for the quick poses that gave me a rather boring view once she layed down (I was perpendicular to her)....so I moved .....as soon as I studied her from the new postition I knew I was in trouble! but once I committed to moving I wasn't about to turn around and run back to my "easy" chair! ...
