Rich Franklin V Matt Hamill @ UFC 88 "The Ace is making the move after failing to dislodge Anderson Silva from his position as middleweight title holder" Is this a wise move for franklin to make?? I know he has the size to be a LHW but don't know if he can hang in the LHW division. Think the UFC know that he's not very marketable @ 185 due to never going to be able to beat the...

I would have to agree, moving up to 205 is going to be a challenge for Rich. In his last fight there he got iced by Lyoto Machida I think there are some really interesting match-ups at 205 for Rich; Wanderlei, Jardine, Thiago Silva, and if he is able to string together a few wins, given his star power he could maybe fight a Chuck Liddel or a returning Shogun. Hes gonna ...

Rich, Poster boy he may be, But, Like Tito, has reached his peak in the UFC and is currently in 'no mans land'. He's better then most below him, but not in the same league as the top fighters, so what's left for him? He's too popular to be used as a stepping stone/whipping boy, but not good enough to get himself a title shot at either weight.

Franklins last time out at 205 did not result in a loss to Machida, although he did loose to Machida his last outing at 205 was an absolute beatdown of Ken Shamrock at the TUF1 finale. Now i know everyone will say that beating an old man is hardly a big deal but Franklin put up a much much better showing against Shamrock then Tito did.
