nokia n95 8gig video calling problem ???:S:S | Thread profile

i just got a nokia n95 8gig and fido now has the 3g calling plan...and i just bought the fido smart sim card wich you need if you want to do a 3g call. but my problem is that it doesnt do video calling...and fido cant help me out:S...so does any body know how to get my video calling started ? do i need to put a setting up for my n95 to start video calling ? thanks in advance...

dude the n95 8GB does not have 3G for north america. you bought the wrong phone. it is only using GSM. the north america n95 8GB (all black one with bigger screen) is coming out in like 2 weeks. you should have waited for that one!!! return it immediatley and wait for the NAM 8GB to come out. trust me you want to be able to use HSDPA 3.6Mbps and video calling and improved ...

i dont think that one supports Canadian 3G, European 3G i heard it will though N95-3 supports 3G here

if that is so then im f@#*ed lol...but my software is american and dont the phone needs to register to a sip setting..mabe i need the sip setting to start 3g video calling ??

No amount of settings will work. You need a phone which uses 850/1900 for 3G yours does not. Only the 95-3 currently will work and also the 95-4 (your phone but with NAM 3G) will work

yes there is no setting that will help you. you bought the wrong phone for this country. the n95-3 supports north american 3G 850 and 1900. the one you have supports 2100 for UK. the n95-3 would work for video calling. and in 2 weeks the phone you have now will come out with the correct frequencies for north am 3g and video calling. you should return the phone and buy the ...

There are far too many threads about the differences between the N95-1, -2, and -3 for people to still make this mistake.

i just came back from the store i bought the phone from and unfortenatly, long story short, i cant return my phone..... ....now that im stuck with it....isnt there a way to make the n95-2 turn into a n95-3 ? like form changing the firmware or anything??
