First of all - lay off the boss thing. Dating bosses or co-workers rarely works out well. Second - are you more upset because you think he's gay or because he's not interested in you particularly? This man may be straight and just not interested. Maybe he feels more comfortable being shown around town by a male friend who can help him scope out the local girls.

Give it time. Maybe he will return your crash and life will be wonderful. I reckon that going out with a CLIENT is probably a smart business decision. Hookin' up with an employee might not be. I'm sure San Fransisco is very nice (it's been years since I was there) but it does have a high percentage of gay folks and his decision to stay there may indicate a sexual preference?
