I picked up a third degree assault charge last month, and I go to court tonight. I didnt get a lawyer because I wasnt sure if it would help. I dont want to go to jail, and I dont want to pay a lawyer hundreds of dollars if it isnt going to change anything , lol. Luckily third degree is the lightest of the assault charges.....and its my first offense. As far as I know , nobody pressed ...

Depending on your state you may be able to plead "Continual Finding" Which means, if you stay out of trouble the whole thing never appears on your record. I got one of these. It's kind of a long story, but mine was against a cop and I was driving. In the end it cost me 75.00. No alcohol though.

I talked to my cop buddy and he said not to worry ... but who really knows what to expect. Nothing has gone my way so far in this , lol. If I get a lawyer I KNOW I wont get jailtime ... but I am being cheap and trying to save money here Thanks guys ---
