While at the indoor dome driving range in Milwaukee I pulled this new X-mas present out for a few hits. Because the dome is too small for normal distance I can only tell if I'm hooking or slicing the ball and how easy it is to hit. I hit it strictly from the mat without teeing it up. This is sweet. I hit shot after shot straight as an arrow down the middle. This is not a hooker or slicer...

Although I haven't hit a Nickent, I have heard good things about it. Just this month I replaced my 3i & 4i with Toski 21* & 25* hybrids, with the Grafalloy ProLaunch hybrid shaft. They give me much more height and a little more distance. One thing I have found with them is that I have to move the ball a little forward from an iron position or I get a push.

Quote: Those things are super cheap right now at golfsmith too. demon Be careful which one you buy!! This is NOT the "Genex". Make sure it has "DC" with it or it is the OLD model and the face is not as hot and it isn't weighted as well. I CAN'T WAIT to go after a par 5 now Ezra!! This thing has me really excited about that ...

My question is, when will Nickent finally be considered on the same tier with the big boys? I played around with their DC hybrid a couple of weeks ago at the shop. Had I looked at these before I got used to my Sonartec boxes they probably would've ended up in my bag; nice club at a nice price.

That's pretty good in my book. (Sonartec is pretty good stuff too!!)...

Quote: i have the one thats not a dc, the old one as you put it, and i dont find it to be that short. I bought it to replace a 3 wood and i hit it just as far as the 3 wood, but hit it well 95 percent of the time vs 60 w/ the 3 woods. for 60 bucks, it not a bad buy either. fore142 Well NOW you tell me!! Actually I was just going by the review I read. I've never hit the Genex version.

Jon seconded on the draw bias... I hit one (although I think it was the older version) and it had a nice draw to it... not as bad as the rescue mid however and it felt solid. This one must have been the older version since I remember it being pretty...

I'm considering finding another Hybrid, how far do you hit the 20° vs the 23°? I want to replace my 3 iron. When I had the G5 22° it seemed to me more of a 3 iron than a 4.

Just got the Nickent 20* Ironwood DC hybrid, only with the Aldila NV shaft, but haven't had a chance to hit it yet.
