As bad as I'm swinging I shouldn't "review" anything but maybe that's the best time. Anyway here goes after playing both drivers. Distance: The Geek wins here but not as much as I thought, maybe 5-10 yards. Both go pretty long (for me) when I manage to put a decent swing on. Control: The 905R wins this easily. Straight hits every time down the middle. No fairways missed with it (...

What did you think of the YS-6? I knew you would love this combo. Your driver hoing days are over... well maybe not over, but at least stablized. Sell the geek and get some more mad money for them FW shafts and a new putter

Heck, if they ever come out with a club called "Nirvana", I'll buy it...

I think the time for an 'intervention' is when he starts buying drivers and getting them bent to fairway wood, iron and wedge lofts just so he can carry them all in his bag...

Lot's of good suggestions in here... I love the YS-6+ shaft. Feels just like the YS-7+ in the 3-wood now and that is a GOOD feeling! Seems just as long as anything else I've hit (for me)..... (ualtim, I'm really trying hard not to look at anymore drivers.... I'm into putters now )

I've been wallowing in mediocrity for a month. Just had my best driving day of the year. Played 18 holes up "nort" with sssmokin and shot a couple 43's for an 86. My normal score "finally". And thanks to the 905R. Straight and long all day. sssmokin has me on swingspeed by at least 5 mph (95-105 mph vs 100-110 mph) and I outdrove him on a couple holes and stayed pretty close on the rest....

Well it's probably NOT ordinary if you swing at 105-110 mph. I should have said it was ordinary in "my" hands, just like the Geek. Good golfers hit my Geek and other drivers all good. The guys I had try it though were more in my league and it kind of sent a message the 905R needs a better nut on the handle (lower cap player).

I'd hardly call the 905R ordinary tho - especially since many Titleist...

ill bet that lack of control from the geek is from the extra 3/4" of shaft on there...
