I really want to pursue a career involving animals when I'm older and I was thinking about zoology, especially the conservation aspect of it. Can anyone tell me a bit more about it like what qualifications you need and what the job involves on a daily basis. Thanks

Simplt, My seconf cousin loves animals. She got job at the hospital of animals. You can do that same. Go on the web and real about zoologist. Get books on this subject. Take some SAT test in Zoologist as get some degree on this program.

volunteer at a animal shelter,contact a local fish and game club and find out what they do in regards to conservation and wildlife habitat reconstruction,talk to your school guidance counsellor and see what direction they can steer you towards you would need to be strong in the sciences,biology and math for your high school credits

A degree in zoology requires about 9-10 years of post secondary education. however, if that's what you want, go for it! What better thing could you do with your life than educating yourself, learning things, and living your dream?

Study children. They're like animals only I think they bite more. Be careful.

I did marine biology (masters) and loved it, but there were no jobs so now I'm a teacher :( The suggestions about gaining experience in animal work are excellent. You can also look into volunteer conservation programs. That's how I got interested in sea turtles (my masters was on this). Good luck.

The minimum qualification you need in whatever you decide to do is a BS degree at least 3 years. If you are not yet in college, Michigan State University seems to have a great department in zoology.
