I mean, wasn't Dick Gregory's autobiography entitled "Nigger"? The use of the word itself, alone, is not the problem. It's the overuse, the self-hating disregard of the force of it, and the ignorant, disrespectful impact of the overuse and disregard. I just don't see any of that in this case.
