If volume and price action Friday are indicative of anything, this "major" announcement will be a big surprise to almost all of the speculators and investors in this stock.

Lots of options traded last week..

Did the open interest increase in puts, calls or both?

How about someone like EP, about 14 billion market cap, lots of pipes, good NA assets and and international assets in Brazil and Egypt.

If ECA were being taken over, then there would be a corresponding announcement by the other party. This is looking like something internal - but good for us.

I suspect its related to the building. By the time the announcement is made the record setting concrete pour for the building will either have just wrapped up, or be moments away from wrapping up (for those who aren't aware, the slab the building sits on is a 14,000 cubic meter piece of concrete, which they started pouring on Friday evening and was forecasted to take 40 hours to complete...

Doesn't the Telus Center where they are holding the press conference stand next to where the new building is going in?
