If you want to remove the preview pane from Windows Mail, its exactly the same as Outlook Express 6! Just open Windows Mail or Outlook Express then click on View then Layout and you will see something like the screenshot below. From here you can customize your email client to suit your needs. As you can see, there are a few options you can change.
