I've always been a firm believer in spaying and neutering, but I read some articles that concern me. Mind you, I've never had a male dog before. Yes, I did read that article. That was one of the main ones that made me curious. I think I will take the article to my vet and discuss it. I want to make the best decision for my little guy.

With the larger breeds, if neutered before maturity, they may have growth problems.

There is an option to surgical neutering. It's called neutrosol. Not all (or probably many) vets in the US use it, but our GSD was neutered with this.
