good luck with the hole. Until you can buy a new mattress, you'll probably be resealing it many times. As far as the smell....febreeze is awesome! Take the mattress outside (like a patio?) douse the mattress with febreeze and leave it outside all afternoon. It should be smelling better. Continue with the Febreeze until it's all gone. Ok, first off... I HOPE this question goes here. If not, I'm sorry! Ok.... Because of my sporadic job status right now, I don't have much furniture. I sleep on an air mattress. There are a number of suggestions to deal with the hole here: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf98370913.tip.html . As for the smell, I would think a thorough hosing down with soap and water followed by a day or two out in the sunshine would help. Or a thorough washing down with soap and water and then a diluted vinegar rinse (just put some cheap white vinegar -- a cup or two maybe -- ...
