Well stone the crows - we are all basically feeling the same way. I have been yawning all day - and the swelly bellie is still there. I have put on about 2 kgs since the op - so am not really worried about that as I figure it will come off once I can start exercising more. I am lucky to be a small build and have only put on 10 kgs since I was 20 - so not too bad. Onwards - I think ...

Hi Jennifer I live alone but I have had 1 really awesome friend who has visited me regularly and even got me out walking. I have family who live away and keep in touch by phone and txt and a couple of associates / friends who keep their distance but sort of do a little bit tentatively. Today I woke feeling really bad. I realised after some ruthless crutinising of myself that i needed sleep and...

Crystalwrists74 - you'd better behave yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like you overdid yourself yesterday. I understand your need to do something, but I don't think you need to be doing heavy duty cleaning at this point. I am glad you are getting a kitty - she will be a lot of company to you. My mother in law just adopted an older cat from someone who had to give her up and "Missy" ...

Hey, Crystalwrists: I'm torn between telling you NOT to overdo it, OR sending you a plane ticket to DEE-troit so you can clean my house next (tease!). Wow. I haven't gotten that ambitious, although I did do some dusting. I may have overstepped my bounds on the treadmill yesterday, though. I experienced a little burning after that, but it subsided after a while. I'll take it easier ...

Wow - I can't imagine feeling like steam cleaning - my stairs in my house are enough for me!! I have two sick little boys - 6 and 2 and they are really needing their mommy to cuddle them - so with a pillow between my tummy and them I feel I am doing a fairly good job! My first outing was yesterday - to the dollar store - Yahoo, I walked for about an hour and I was really tired by the end...

I love you guys.....I REALLY DO!!!!!!!! All of your responses made me feel so loved. I totally overdid it and I am just staying in bed today, with the occasional trip to the kitchen for food, or potty breaks. I am forcing myself to just rest and I know my body will thank me for it. I can't say how grateful I am for this site. It helped me so much in preparing and it continues to ...

It sounds like everyone has different experiences of recovery. The main thing is for you to listen to YOUR body, do enough, but not too much. Just my 2 cents!

Hello ladies: Oh Crystalwrists! What are we going to do with you? When I first started reading your post, I actually thought you were kidding about all you had done yesterday. Yet, the more I read, the more I realized how serious you really were. Girl, what are you doing? You gotta take care of yourself for you and your new kitty. She's going to need you to be healthy and strong so ...

Hello Ladies, Getting a bit stir crazy now - guess that's a great sign! Got the all clear from the doctor Tuesday. Even did a bit of weeding yesterday and took a long, hot bath after. Absolutely delicious. I've been planning a little party with my girlfriends to celebrate. My doc suggested a pad burning party, but I think I'm going with a Bloody Mary party. Here's a little poem I'...

Hi June, sorry to hear that your scrambled eggs aren't as tasty anymore, along with other food! I'm not much help, I'm afraid, as I haven't yet had my ovaries taken (it is still a possibility) so am not on HRT. Perhaps someone else can help with this... Take care. Julie
Hey girls: It's been ages since I checked in, but I wanted to see how everyone is doing. Friday will be my six month post-op. Where has the time gone? Dealing with severe back pain for the past two weeks. I see my general practioner on Friday. I'm hopeful he can identify and remedy the problem. I'll try to check in more often. Good to see you girls have kept this thread going. Hugs,
Hi Everyone, Oceanluvr 5- WOW you are still with us - good to see you are going great guns - although the back ache is a worry. Lisaleeanne, great to hear from you alos and everyone else, good stuff. I am definately one of the lucky ones, feel physically great, no problems except if I really overdo it and then I get a very slight ache - nothing to write home for though. DH and I are getting on the straight and narrow and I have been having...
Hello to the girls, Wow, 6 months?, crazy talk. Does not seem like 6 months already, thats for sure. I'm still feeling realy good, no recurances or issues thus far. I do still get tired faster than before but nothing drastic. I get crazy itching along the scar line now once in a while. I remember some of you talking about getting the itches way back at the start of recovery, but I'm just getting them now. i think it has something to...

Hi ladies, Sounds like most everyone is doing much better than the last time I got caught up on everyone's lives. Even a few of us going for a roll in the hay or two. I had the filter removed from the big vein the leads back to the heart on Monday. The **** thing had shifted a bit so the part the doc needed to grab with a cathedar was pushing against the wall of the vein. What should have taken 10 minutes or so took an hour. At least...
Hi...I know exactly what you are saying...I have had a swollen stomach (not normal for me) since about week two after my surgery. I wake up in the morning now and it almost seems normal, but always way more extended at the end of the day. I too have to do alot of physical lifting and bending during the day at my job...but I don't hurt any more...I have the odd twinge but wonder if that isn't related to my cycle, as I still have my...
Hi everyone! I'm still here! Still waiting on test results concerning my potassium levels and possible muscle enzyme defiency. hopefully will hear something tomorrow. Other than that I am feeling fairly good. Hope everyone else is continuing to improve! More later! Kim
