I think you'd have to feel flattered, if people loved your music so muchthat that's all they wanted to play. But I'm never a fan of tribute bands, because if I wanted to listen to a particular song, I'd rather listen to itplayed by the original artist than by their tribute band.

I think the cover dmb bands if they are good are a fun time.. and kindamake you feel like you are in the small club feel... i like that once inawhile just to get a dmb fix... but i think dmb would be impressed that aband covering them can play their songs..... they do have some difficultsongs to play more power too them....http://www.aboutcrash.com/http://www.tripp inbillies.com/

Theres one I've seen that is currently touring the midwest area, and theyare simply called The Dave Matthews Tribute Band. They have a Myspace, andI listened to a little of it and it sounds alright musically but its justnot the same without Dave's voice...I'm hoping to check them out if theycome around again, they have a list of their tourdates on the myspace.

well the difference being tribute vs. cover.i think when you cover a song, you put your own twists on it; perfectexample: Watchtower.leaving a tribute to be when you play the song asclose as possible to theoriginal version.i could be wrong, but i do believe that is critical... i saw a cover/tribute band at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL and the music wasDEAD on. the sax, keys, violin, ...

I have heard quite a few cover bands, and their are some that should not beallowed to even play DMB on their own time. But then their are others thatare really good. So if the band that is covering DMB is good, i say ROCKON!!!! As long as they make the songs sound decent, more power to them!

I have don't have any beef with the tribute bands personally. I think it isa complete form of flattery, and if it is making them happy, that's great! However, (and no offense to anyone in a tribute band), I don't think Icould myself feel satisfied with trying to imitate someone else instead oftrying to write my own original music.I would rather see a band cover one or two DMB songs with a bunch of...
