Bands that open for DMB? | Thread profile

I was just wondering how many DMB fans on here actually listen on a regular basis to bands that are opening for DMB? DMB has had some amazing bands open for them in the past and still are like Umphrey's Mcgee, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bela Fleck and The Flecktones and Tea Leaf Green. Also does anyone think any of these bands are better then DMB? I personally would much rather listen to ...

I'm a big fan of Ben Harper who has opened for DMB on several tours. I'm a huge Warren Haynes/Gov't Mule fan, and I'm starting to get into Matisyahu.

blue merle is fucking awesome. orchestral bass that's all i gotta say.

like the bands better than DMB, no. respect what they do differently, yes.

I'm a huge fan of a lot of them, I don't know the names of all of them this year, but Umphrey's, Slightly Stoopid, John Butler Trio, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, and more than all those, O.A.R. O.A.R. I'm a huge fan of, but if I had to choose, I would pick a DMB concert over all of those shows (depending on the seats) Personally, I would rather be up front and center at an O.A.R. show than lawn ...

DMB is my all time favorite band, but currently I listen to alot of other bands more often. I am just wondering if people get just as excited to see some of the opening bands as they do for DMB?

i know alot of people hate him on here, but i was pumped to see howie day in ct last summer, i saw him 6 times before then, but to mix with dmb, man it was awesome. howie day is very talented and puts on an awesome show, i prefer him solo myself. im really excited to get matisyahu, ALO, gov't mule, bela fleck, david gray, tea leaf slightly stoopid and ymsb at my shows this year, should be a good ...
