I don't have Crohn's Disease, but I believe people with it take Solu-medrol. I will be taking a pulse of 3 1000mg doses of Solu-medrol then stopping the medicine all together( I will not be doing a taper down of any medications nor will i be having the pulse at all after this). I was wondering if I would get a moon face from taking the medicine over this short period, if so how long will ...

I don't think you will get much side effects from these quick doses. I found I didn't get the moon face until I had been on the med for at least a month or so.

I would say no, but everybody's body is different. I love solu-medrol. It always helps me and I never have any bad side effects from it. The only thing is is that it elevates your blood sugar so you do need to have your sugar level tested evey couple hours (just normal prick of the finger). Usually my nurses would just give me a small dose of insulin (a shot in the arm with a tiny needle) ...
