I know part of the topic is a can of worms I usually don't like to open. I have to share though. I had a friend send me a link to this recent story in the news via email. This person knows how hard my initial diagnosis was for me. When I was diagnosed I was on the verge of death and in a Ketoacidosis Coma. I'm very lucky to be alive and this story really hits close to home, though ...

"survived by her parents...." who let her die, btw. How sad. And criminal. I am sick of people complaining of religious persecution when they break laws and/or harm others. Enough is enough.

I agree. I am trying to find a good source for updates on the story. I'm waiting to hear if any criminal action is going to be taken towards the parents and what if any action is going to be taken regarding the 3 older kids who had to watch their baby sister die. At a minimum I think counseling should be required for the children.

Absolutely heartbreaking and criminal!

Sigh...there's faith and then there's a lack of common sense. I think, MOST religious views center around the idea that life is sacred, and with that in mind it tends to disturb me when people are so focused on their "Faith" that they lose sight of the bigger picture...
